Noah Kahan is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter who is living out his dreams. This spring, he was the opening act for James Bay’s North American tour and has recorded a single with Grammy nominated artist Julia Michaels. Kahan refers to music as his inspiration, his passion, and his therapy.
“It’s the only thing I’ve ever heard or seen in my life, that can completely take me somewhere else.”
Born in Strafford, Vermont, he started songwriting at the age of 8 and he later started posting his songs to SoundCloud, a music streaming platform which in turn led him to his record deal with Republic Records.
Kahan’s raw and honest songwriting style resonates with many. His guitar and strong, smooth singing voice allow the audience to connect with the music. Kahan says. “It’s really cool to see people feel better about themselves through my music, especially because I was trying to do the same thing for myself. It’s cool to have that be worthwhile for other people and not just me.”
Kahan’s first album titled Busyhead is set to come out in June 2019 and he will be touring North America during the second half of the year.
