Fuel Your Neighbors

These days, more Vermonters are struggling to provide basic needs for their families than ever before.

No one should have to choose between heating their home and feeding their family.

Through the Fuel Your Neighbors program, Capstone Community Action is ensuring that no Vermonter is left out in the cold, hungry, or alone.

Every dollar donated to Fuel Your Neighbors ensures that local families have a safe warm home and enough food to eat.

Here’s how the program is helping Anna and her family:

In the middle of the night during the dead of winter, Anna and her 3-month-old infant ran out of heat. She called Capstone Community Action’s emergency heating assistance hotline for help and we sent a fuel dealer to her home.

When the truck couldn’t make it up the driveway because of the snow, Anna called back in a panic. Our staff called a plow truck, clearing the driveway and delivering fuel before sunrise.

Do Good Fest supports Capstone Community Action’s Fuel Your Neighbors Program and you can, too. Visit their website to find out how your gift of $25, $50, or $100 can make a word of difference for your neighbors in need.
