Community Harvest of Central Vermont

Each year, one million pounds of local produce goes uneaten in Washington County alone.

Community Harvest of Central Vermont is recovering some of that food through their gleaning program – that is, collecting unharvested produce on local farms.

The fresh gleaned produce is provided to disadvantaged community members, reducing food waste and helping provide healthy food to those in need.

In the last five years alone, they’ve donated almost 176,000 pounds of fresh food!

You can help everyone in the community have access to healthy, nutritious food by supporting Community Harvest of Central Vermont today!
