Thank you for coming to Do Good Fest 2016!
From all of us at National Life and The Point, thank you to everyone who attended this year's Do Good Fest. You guys made it the best one yet and helped raise a record-breaking amount of funds for Branches of Hope, the cancer patient fund at Central Vermont Medical Center. Branches of Hope is a fund that helps cancer patients pay extraordinary expenses while they’re undergoing treatment and may be out of work. Branches of Hope once supported itself through bake sales, but Do Good Fest has changed that. Those of you who came out this past Saturday (all 5,200 of you) helped raise $24,000 for the fund. The money will go a long way to ease the stress and burden that cancer patients and their families face every day. An additional $6,000 is being donated by the National Life Foundation, bringing the total amount of money raised this year to $30,000, and $56,000 over the past three years!
Before we sign off on Do Good Fest 2016, we wanted to give a shout out to everyone who made this possible.
Thanks to all of the local nonprofits who came by to showcase their programs and services. We hope you are inspired to support their efforts to do good for others in our local communities
Thank you to Big Head Todd & The Monsters and Brett Dennen for putting on unforgettable performances, and to Steady Betty and the Dave Keller Band for providing some awesome local tunes. Every musician that stepped on the Do Good Fest stage did an amazing job at keeping the crowd entertained!
We also wanted to shout out all the awesome food trucks for stopping by this year and providing all kinds of tasty Vermont food. Three Penny Taproom has been a huge part of Do Good Fest's success, and King Arthur Flour made a $1,000 donation this year to Branches of Hope!
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors for helping us make Do Good Fest 2016 happen: The Point, Seven Days, Harpoon Brewery, Montpelier Alive, Local Motion and the National Life Group Foundation. A special shout out to Zeb Norris from The Point who put the lineup together and made this a real party!
Most importantly, thank YOU for coming out and making this year's Do Good Fest such a fantastic event. We are so grateful to the people of our community who came and supported cancer patients. This is part of our cause at National Life, to do good (and having fun while doing it!).
We'll see you all in 2017!
