Do Good Fest Returns Featuring X Ambassadors and American Authors, High School Music Competition Announced

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, National Life’s Do Good Fest will be held on the company’s campus in Montpelier on July 16. National Life, partnering with Star 92.9, will bring X Ambassadors to headline the benefit concert, preceded by American Authors. Two additional opening bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

“It’s finally time to reconnect,” said Mehran Assadi, Chairman, CEO, and President of National Life Group. “And what a better way to do it than by bringing Do Good Fest back to our hill. National Life is a financial services company with a soul. Hosting this benefit concert is one way of the many ways we reflect that.”

The concert will again benefit Branches of Hope, the cancer patient fund at Central Vermont Medical Center’s National Life Cancer Treatment Center. The past Do Good fests have raised more than $250,000 for the fund.

A new addition to this year’s festival will be Beats for Good, a high school music competition for Vermont students. The winner will open Do Good Fest, have the opportunity to meet the local and national musicians, and receive a $5,000 donation to their school’s music program.

In addition to the music, Do Good Fest will also have more food trucks than ever, a beer and cider garden offering Harpoon products run by Three Penny Taproom, an exclusive VIP lounge, a kid’s zone, and a Nonprofit Showcase where festival attendees can learn about several causes and how they contribute to the vitality of the community. The event will be capped with the festival’s famous fireworks display.

Advance tickets are required. While the concert is free, a donation to Branches of Hope is strongly suggested.
