2019 Was Our Biggest Do Good Fest Yet
All of the Do Good Fest organizers knew that Michael Franti & Spearhead would be a good draw in 2019.
But 10,000-plus? Wow. What a show.
And even more importantly to the cause behind the annual festival, $50,000 for the Branches of Hope cancer patient fund? Now that’s what it’s all about.
A hot, sunny day helped to draw crowds that overflowed the lawn and helped to fulfill the vision of the community raising money that can help cancer patients pay bills while they’re undergoing treatment.
Check out the playlist from last year. And the video also helps to tell the story.
There won’t be any crowds like that on the lawn at National Life this coming Saturday, when the 7th annual Do Good Fest had been planned.
But the cause remains and so does the dedication.
Branches of Hope at one time relied on bake sales to raise the money it could offer to patients.
Now, thanks to the community that has developed around the Do Good Fest, more than $220,000 has been contributed to the fund.
