How Beats for Good Contest Works

High school musicians from Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Plattsburgh, New York, submitted performance videos to a panel of expert judges, including:

  • Tim Lopez and Tom Higgenson of the Plain White T’s

  • Kathy Marchetti, music industry veteran (Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, Noah Kahan)

  • Music educators, local musicians, and fans

The panel selected 10 finalists, and now the public is invited to vote for their favorite performance. The winner and runners up will be announced after June 6.

“We believe in creating a stage where young talent can shine—guided by world-class musicians, uplifted by community support, and inspired by the joy of sharing music in a real-world setting,” said John Mullett, Director of Community Relations at National Life Group and longtime musician.
