National Life Group presents country music legend Mark Chesnutt at second annual Do Good Fest®, a free outdoor concert at Levitt Pavilion to benefit Parkland Pediatric Behavioral Health Program
Addison, TX (June 27, 2023) National Life Group will host Do Good Fest®, a free outdoor concert at Levitt Pavilion to benefit Parkland Health’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Program in support of youth mental health on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The event includes live music headlined by country music legend Mark Chesnutt with opener Jack Ingram along with award-winning Arlington-based Sam Houston High School Mariachi Band and other special guests. The festival would not be complete without signature food trucks.
With 14 number one hits, 23 top 10 singles, four platinum albums, and five gold records, Chesnutt (pictured) is a country music legend. He got his start in Beaumont, Texas and continues to tour broadly.
Named best new male vocalist by the Academy of Country Music in 2008 and inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters’ Association Hall of Fame recently, Ingram is a singer and songwriter who has put out eight albums.
Another hard-hitting opening act will be announced in August.
This is the second annual Do Good Fest in Texas. Since 2014, National Life has hosted this benefit concert on the lawn of its Vermont campus, welcoming up to 10,000 concertgoers each year and raising more than $345,000 for local cancer patients. Last year, Do Good Fest in Texas raised over $70,000 to benefit the Pediatric Behavioral Health Program at Parkland Health in support of youth mental health.
“We are thrilled to bring Do Good Fest back to Texas for a second year in a row to continue doing good for our community and supporting youth mental health,” National Life Group Chairman, CEO and President Mehran Assadi said.
Do Good Fest also offers a VIP experience, which includes an exclusive air-conditioned space with an open bar, elevated pub food, a terrace that overlooks the green and stage, comfortable seating, restrooms and a swag bag filled with branded gifts. All proceeds go to the Pediatric Behavioral Health Program at Parkland Hospital.
